Living Ocean Incorporated

Also known as “No Plastic Please”, Living Ocean Incorporated is a small-scale charity established in 2011. Their main activity is registered as climate change primarily serving families environment.

Living Ocean is a citizen science, not for profit organisation that promotes the awareness of human impact on the ocean through research, education, creative activity in the community and support of others who sustain ocean health and integrity. Always celebrating and honouring the natural environment and the lifestyle that the ocean offers us. We also continued our research work: We continued our research into Humpback and other whale migration behaviour off Sydney's Northern Beaches. We also continued our research into plastic pollution under the AUSMAP micro plastics citizen science program. We also created awareness and lodged with NOPSEMA regarding potential mismanagement of gas survey and associated hazards within the PEP11 zone. Our whale research program builds on research that has been conducted off our coastline by our experts over many years and our Centre for Marine Studies enables students and others to become directly involved. Through partnerships with individuals and organisations we conceive, create and coordinate campaigns that educate all layers of our community from our No Plastic Please campaign, which is delivered in partnership with local schools, to film nights and lectures aimed at the wider community. Additionally, we raise funds for ocean-oriented conservation and protection groups such as Sea Shepherd and Save Our Seabirds. We are a growing community, connected by our love of the ocean and waterways that surround us.
