Care Options Incorporated

Care Options Incorporated is a large-scale charity established in 1997. Their main activity is registered as aged care activities primarily serving adults - aged 65 and over.

Our principal activities during the reporting period were in aged care, veterans and disability services, working with individuals to build their independence and capacity to live a better life. We do this in collaboration with other community groups, organisations and governments. We focus on delivering beneficial services to our clients that they have identified as being important for their well-being and are consistent with the pursuit of their personal goals. We aim for both efficiency and effectiveness and deliver these services in a respectful and empathetic way. Our goal is to provide as much assistance as possible to as many people as we can.The key priority during the year was negotiating and progressing the merger between Care Options Incorporated, Community First International Limited and Volunteer Task Force Incorporated. On 31 October 2016 the members of Community First, Care Options and Volunteer Task Force each approved the merger in order to create a bigger, stronger WA based community organisation with the resources and capacity to invest in the technology and organisational change necessary to succeed in the changing community services environment. On 24 January 2017 the steps to legally finalise the merger were completed at which point Management Agreements were effected between each of the three entities and a new parent company Community Care Force Limited. The memberships and boards of all entities in the merged group have been aligned and a new CEO was appointed in February. The focus since the merger has been on continuing to provide high quality client services, maintaining employee engagement, appointing the new leadership team and planning the organisational integration and capability development. As part of the merged group the strategic focus is to continue to develop and strengthen internal capabilities (including people, systems and processes) to create an organisation that stands out as being different, truly committed to community, that treats everyone as equal and works tirelessly and collaboratively with others to assist people to live the lives that they have chosen. Care Options continuously monitors its performance. Regular performance reviews are held involving the Board, the Executive and all other employees. Performance is assessed against key performance indicators, which are linked to the strategic plan and reviewed annually.
